We have been like this for centuries. It all started when the both of us got lost in the woods. A nymph appeared from a small pond and told us we have been blessed and cursed at the same time. She kissed both of us, sealing our fate as immortal beings, and transforming us into women.
She explained that we could not die. She then said that we will get to experience life like no one before us.
It was specially hard for me, while my friend was already flirting with men, and enjoying being a courtesan, I tried refraining from it. Even trying to run away.
Eventually I tried sex, and well, that made me accept my new form.
We got to experience all kinds of difficult times. During the 9th century we moved north where we lived as Dane women.
It was a rough time, but we sure enjoyed being some strong Viking’s wives. Don’t get us wrong, we might have started as men, but that was 22 years of our lives, we have been women for so long that manhood is nothing but a far away memory.
Anyways, during the better half of the 19th century, we decided to be noble women. We called ourselves Scarlett and Anne. We loved acting like fancy ladies. Which was a lot better than back in the 12th century where we were almost burned at the stake.
Now, in the 21st century, while we keep our selves away from important events, we do enjoy going out and flirting with random guys. But to tell you the truth, ever since the pandemic we have been dating each other.
All these centuries having fun, finding love in strangers, we hadn’t realized love had been brewing between us.
Anyways, we don’t know if we will ever pass away, but right now I can’t wait to go home and have some alone time with Scarlett.
